Dr. Emil Hernandez-Pagan will be joining the department as an assistant professor. Dr. Hernandez-Pagan's group will advance the synthesis and characterization of functional inorganic materials. They will be developing new classes of materials and use a suite of physicochemical and analytical techniques to gain in-depth mechanistic understanding of reaction pathways in complex materials systems, including nanomaterials, renewable energy, (photo)catalysis, and environmental remediation.
His interests are Inorganic/materials chemistry & characterization, nanomaterials, electrochemistry, (photo)catalysis, renewable energy, surface chemistry.
The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry welcomes Dr. Hernandez-Pagan.
