Dr. John Burmeister

The Blue Hen Chemist (BHC) documents the changes, awards and careers of our department alumni.

Initially started in 1973 by Prof. Betty Dyer, as a simple newsletter to our alumni, the BHC editorship changed hands to Prof. Wally McCurdy in 1993 and to Dr. John Burmeister in 1996. Dr. Burmeister,  our resident department historian and former undergraduate advisor for many years, has initiated many changes to the simple newsletter including a switch to full color in 2006.

Since 2002, we have provided a downloadable .pdf in addition to the full color printed copy.
